Launched in 2005 and produced until 2015, the ref. 5127 with its crown guard and self-winding caliber 315 SC (center seconds) immediately became an attractive addition to the Calatrava collection. Today we can divide the ref. 5127 into two series, those with the Geneva Seal (such as this example) and those made after 2010 (made with the Patek Philippe Seal). With its 37mm case size and sapphire crystal case back, this ref. 5127J is perfect for the collector who wants a classic, self-winding Calatrava with a rounded bezel in yellow gold, a combination that is no longer available in the line today. Furthermore, this example features a Tiffany & Co. signature above 6 o’clock for an extra layer of rarity on top of an already rare reference.
